La Conservera (The Cannery), located in Spain, takes its name from the former use of the building as a canned food factory, has undergone a major refurbishment project led by the architect Fernando de Retes, who devised a dynamic, flexible design for a new space dedicated to contemporary art.
When imaging the concept to create a corporate Id for La Conservera we were inspired by the idea of expiry dates found on everyday cans. The space La Conservera provides for artists to display there work always has a limited time and then is replaced by a new artist, hence the concept of using the expired can and its generic typography seemed ideal to brand La Conservera.
La Conservera was created in collaboration with studio F33.
